Asian Dumplings

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to learn the craft of making authentic dumplings from scratch!

In this hands-on and interactive class, you will be guided step-by-step through refining your knife skills, making dumpling dough from scratch, preparing dumpling fillings, and learning the art of folding dumplings into various traditional shapes.

There will be two types of fillings available to make: soy ginger tofu and shiitake mushroom dumplings. This is a Vegetarian and Vegan friendly class. Please note that there will not be any meat filling options available.

You will learn the techniques to steam and pan fry the dumplings. Once you have created your masterpieces, you will then plate up and enjoy eating your creations!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests will work in groups throughout the class, sharing equipment and ingredients. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+ only.

We'll meet at 3pm-5pm at the Red Kettle Coffee House (38 Enoch St., East Rutherford, NJ 07073) on Sundays and the shop closes at 6pm. Feel free to get yourself a drink, they serve Counter Culture products and it's made by talented baristas. There is a parking lot and on street parking if it gets full.
